September 2018 – Running for Carbs

I remember when I first started running. It all began with gradually building up. Slowly but surely, I would eventually make my way to a full mile. No watch, no fancy running gadgets, just a pair of clearance shoes I bought from the store, and the determination to comfortably run what I was hoping was a mile. I’d try for two weeks to run around the neighborhood, and sometimes I’d come back completely exhausted laying on the floor, not sure why I decided to start. But, that’s the thing about never giving up, one day, it all clicked. I DID IT! I actually did it.

I ran an entire mile, and I didn’t feel like dying. This was success in my eyes. I think it’s important to remember why you started and to celebrate how far you’ve come. Although, running for me has evolved so much these past years, the love of running free will always live within me. Running has ignited a love of the sport that has fueled empowerment within me to constantly strive to achieve the impossible. No matter where you are on your fitness journey, celebrate your passion and the desire to achieve the impossible.

As much as I love sharing pieces of my running journey, I wanted to start sharing more about running apparel since I absolutely LOVE clothes. Run Free Jacket

This jacket is straight fire! It’s super lightweight and the right length to compliment your shape. I’m always cold, so for me, it’s a really great light layer heading into fall. It’s definitely going to be a staple for my early morning runs.

Athleta Run Free Tight – Dark Soft Lilac

Feels like butter to your skin and provides a nice high waist. I love anything high-waisted, especially because your girl has hips. They also have pockets on the size which hold my BIG iphone and a pocket in the back for nutrition and/or keys.

How fly do I look and feel in @athleta’s Run Free Short + Bra?! SO CUTE! The shorts have a high waist band, which Is my favorite! There are so many cute color combos and prints. The bra fits TTS and I sized down in the shorts.

How beautiful is this bra?! I mean, seriously it’s one of the best looking bras I’ve seen this season. I’ve always steered clear of wearing a white bra, because hello a white bra. But, this bra provides great support and removable pads to keep everything looking seamless.
