Welcome to Running for Carbs! My name is Tiffany and I’m just a carb loving runner with an appetite for miles and pizza. My blog focuses on the humor of life, running, eating carbs, and fitness. I hope my blog will motivate and inspire you to be active and live a healthy lifestyle.
I’ve been running since 2011 when a bad break up lead me to spending time with my cousins who were running races every weekend. One day I decided to join them for a run just to see if I would like it. They didn’t tell me until after we were finished that we ended up running eight miles that day! My love for running blossomed and since run several races and keep adding more onto the schedule.
I’ve taken time off from running-you know, when life just gets in the way. During these breaks there was this inexplicable void-I’d see runners while driving and I was envious of their dedication. I was constantly thinking about running. I missed it. I craved it. Kind of like pizza when I haven’t had it in a while. Now, I am back to running consistently and it feels wonderful! My goal is to one day qualify for The Boston Marathon. I’m not quite there yet but one day, it WILL happen.
I’m also very passionate about food. I try and maintain a more healthy lifestyle throughout the week and give myself cheat days on Fridays and Saturdays. I do however have a love for pizza, pasta and wings that just grows stronger everyday. I literally can eat pizza every day but for my health and husband’s sake-well, we’d like to not blow up like a busted can of biscuits. Everything in moderation is truly the way to live-therefore, I run to eat. I hope you enjoy reading about my life and my running journey.
I decided to start a running blog because I love running and feel passionate about it. I feel like I’ve quit a lot of things throughout life because it was difficult. I’ve never quit running. I may have taken breaks but there was always that feeling of missing it and needing to get back into it. I hope my running stories make you laugh and keep you entertained. I plan to write about topics that runners can relate to as well as anyone looking for an interesting read. Thanks for reading and keep posted for more running updates throughout the month.
